Circle Announces Native USDC Integration and CCTP v2 Launch on Hyperliquid’s HyperEVM
Circle Internet Financial has revealed plans to introduce native USDC and its upgraded Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) version 2 on Hyperliquid's HyperEVM platform. This strategic integration will enable direct USDC issuance and smooth cross-chain transfers within Hyperliquid's decentralized exchange and smart contract ecosystem.
The native USDC implementation allows for 1:1 redemptions via Circle Mint, offering traders a fully reserved, regulated stablecoin for perpetual contracts and spot trading. CCTP v2 enhances cross-chain USDC transfers, creating new opportunities for DeFi applications such as swaps and treasury management tools.
Hyperliquid's decentralized exchange, HyperCore, is expected to see improved liquidity and institutional adoption through native USDC deposits. This development highlights the increasing synergy between regulated stablecoins and decentralized trading platforms.
